Story

Everything about Hangla’s, including its name, embodies Soumitra. Not only was he the biggest hangla ever known to us, he loved to feed people and had such a hunger for life that one lifetime was possibly not enough for him to fulfil all his dreams.

​

A gifted photographer, an outstanding cook and an enthusiastic entrepreneur, Soumitra always harboured a deep desire to build something from the ground up. And, given his love for food, what better place than Mumbai, a city that loves to eat more than sleep, to introduce the street cuisine of his hometown, Kolkata.

 

When Soumitra decided to set up Hangla’s in 2008, he had little knowledge of business. What he had in spades was faith in his enterprise. The first Hangla’s in Lokhandwala was built brick by brick with small loans from friends and family members who were willing to back him. Soon, Soumitra launched the second Hangla’s in Malad, followed by an outlet on Linking Road in the heart of the bustling suburb that is Bandra.

 

Today, Hangla’s is a very popular destination for food lovers who have, time and again, supported us through their loyalty and given us an opportunity to serve them.

 

The team at Hangla’s is always eager to serve the customers. Customers can now get their favourite rolls, biryanis, fish fry, and other lip-smacking foods, which can be directly delivered to their homes or customers can choose to pick the food from the outlets at the following addresses in Mumbai:
